I TOO SQUATTED ON A STOOL EATING MELON FRIED MUSHROOMS

"Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, nuclear proliferation, demonstrations and demands from the inner self, the artists swim naked on the sound and fury of the living today."

LIM KEH SOON graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art in 2003, with the award for Best Student. He was a founding member of the FINDARS and took part in many experimental art and sound projects. He has previously produced a limited print comic book with sponsorship from the Balai Seni Lukis Negara and held a first solo exhibition, "Junkiemonkey" at Findars Space@Annexe (2009). Lim also actively participated in various group exhibitions that were held in Petronas Gallery, Valentine Willie Fine Art, Art Expo Malaysia '09, The Annexe Gallery, etc.

Lim's work tend to redefine of some cartoon heroes and his own imaginary comical characters to depict the environment of today’s society. The work is open for a varied response and aims to trigger memories and thoughts.

TEY BENG TZE graduated from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA). He is also one of the founding member of FINDARS. He has been actively participating in various group exhibitions locally since 2003 that were held in Petronas Gallery, Valentine Willie Fine Art, The Annexe Gallery, etc. and has held his first solo exhibition, "Dirty Mary Crazy Mickey" at FINDARS@Annexe (2009).

Tey's work is a self-exploration through painting, using visual language and owned experience, from bits to specific, sometimes nonsense, sometimes practical, but preferred to be darkly presented. "Darkness existed everywhere in real life, it just always being splendidly packaging", that's Tey's perspective.
